Trinity Health Appoints Three to Board of Directors

Novi, Michigan (June 24, 2008) – Trinity Health today announced the appointment of the following new members of its Board of Directors: Sarah Eames, and Angel Rodolfo (A. R.) Sales, effective July 1, 2008 and Mary Kelly, RSM, effective January 1, 2009.

Sarah Eames, of Harrison, NY, recently was Deputy Chair and Interim Chief Executive Officer for Allied Healthcare International Inc, of New York, which provides temporary staffing services to the health care industry in the United Kingdom. She has devoted her professional life to the health care field and brings to the Trinity Health Board of Directors strong operating and governance experience and an in-depth understanding of health care delivery and reimbursement issues.

Eames is a board member of the Visiting Nursing Services of New York Partners in Care and Global Med Technologies, a software company selling blood supply tracking products. She holds an MBA from the University of California-Irvine and a bachelor’s degree in economics from Northwestern University in Evanston, Ill.

A. R. Sales, of Fort Meyers, Fl. and Indianapolis, IN., recently retired as President and Chief Operating Officer of ADESA, Inc., in Carmel, IN., the second-largest used vehicle auction network in North America. A thoughtful executive who understands the role of the board, Sales brings to Trinity Health strong financial, treasury, operations and mergers and acquisitions experience. He also serves on the board for Roll Coater, Inc., a steel coil coating company. He received his bachelor’s degree and MBA from Indiana University in Bloomington, IN.

Sister Mary Kelly, a member of the integration team of the Institute of the Sisters of Mercy of the Americas served as a member of the Trinity Health Board from 2000-2005. In her current role with the Sisters of Mercy of the Americas, she coordinates financial aspects of six administrative units in the United States and one for the Caribbean, South and Central America.

Sister Kelly is on leave as a tenured Associate Professor at the University of Detroit Mercy. She holds a doctorate in Public Health from the University of Michigan, an MBA from Michigan State University and a bachelor’s degree from Mercy College of Detroit. She has served on numerous non-profit organization boards and was chair of the Sisters of Mercy Health Corporation board. She was also a member of the Mercy Health Services Board of Directors. Sister currently serves as a Member of Catholic Health Services.

In addition to Eames, Sales and Sister Mary, the members of the Trinity Health Board include Board Chair Patrick Hays, Trinity Health President and CEO Joseph Swedish, Henry Autry, Suzanne Brennan, CSC, Lawrence Damron, Melanie Dreher, PhD, RN, Yvonne Gellise, RSM, Mary Mollison, CSA, Kathleen Moroney, CSC, and Linda Rae Murray, MD.
