Serving Michigan

Gift of Health

The Trinity Health Gift of Health Initiative is about people and alleviating the hardships that many individuals and families in our community are experiencing. It's about our commitment to providing medical care to all who need it, regardless of their ability to pay.

Delivering on this promise, while remaining financially viable, has become a challenge. The increase in the number of unemployed as well as the number of individuals who no longer have the same level of health insurance coverage from their employer has left many unable to cover their hospital expenses. Over the past year, Trinity Health Muskegon has provided $6 million in financial assistance for its patients.

Trinity Health Muskegon is in need of the generous support of donors in order to serve patients who are uninsured or underinsured.

By making a gift in support of this initiative, you are:

  • Assisting patients of Trinity Health Muskegon who are unable to pay their medical bills
  • Removing the additional burden of financial stress for patients
  • Promoting healing, compassion and hope

There are several opportunities available to support this initiative, allowing tax and income benefits for the contributor. Gifts can be made through cash, appreciated securities (stocks, bonds, mutual funds), appreciated real estate, or an IRA/retirement plan.

While current gifts are needed, you are not limited to this form of giving. By naming one of our hospitals (Trinity Health Muskegon, Trinity Health Shelby or Trinity Health Grand Haven) as a beneficiary in your will or trust, or in a life insurance policy, you help to ensure access to high quality medical care services at Trinity Health Muskegon in the future.
