PGY1 Pharmacy Residency Program

The Pharmacy Residency Program at Trinity Health Muskegon, Graduate Medical Education believes that pharmacists can and must have an active role in patient care within the health system. This program offers a positive atmosphere to learn and grow professionally by providing opportunities to teach, to collaborate with other healthcare professionals, and provide direct patient care.

Accredited by ASHP since 2001, our PGY1 residency program at Trinity Health Muskegon is designed to train pharmacists in central hospital pharmacy, clinical unit-based pharmacy practice, and ambulatory pharmacy practice. We offer two PGY1 resident positions with acute care electives and two PGY1 resident positions with ambulatory care electives (four total PGY1 resident positions).

Our program prides itself on molding rotations to meet individual resident educational goals, building on the foundation of advanced clinical pharmacy practice.

Graduates of the program have successfully pursued clinical, staff, faculty, and managerial roles in various health systems throughout the United States.

Since 2020, we also offer an ASHP accredited PGY2 Ambulatory Care position.
